CSWM UI participated in the main event of Redefining Solutions on Plastic Pollution through Integrated Policy and Knowledge (RESIK) public campaign hosted by Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) along with National Coordination Team for Marine Debris Management (TKN PSL) and the Embassy of Canada.
The event highlights the National Environment Day in accordance with the efforts to come up with solutions for Plastic Pollution that also incorporate stakeholders such as policymakers and practitioners. The event also highlights the detailed activity report that provides insights into the progress and achievements of the RESIK program, ensuring participants are well-informed by Rosa Vivien as a part of the KLHK. The event then continues with the keynote speech H.E Jess Duton, the ambassador of Canada in Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in combating plastic pollution.
RESIK also Offers valuable insights and strategies for effective communication on plastic pollution issues through the book launch, equipping participants with practical knowledge as well as celebrating and recognizing creative contributions to raising awareness about plastic pollution through the RESIK competition that promotes awareness in the digital world through mixed media competition, motivating further innovation and involvement.
The event concluded with an inspiring public involvement and innovative solutions for a greener community through a talk show session with experts, providing diverse perspectives and expertise. Recapping key points of the event and reinforcing commitments to plastic pollution solutions through concluding remarks, ensuring a collective resolve to act and that participants leave the event motivated and well-informed, ready to implement and advocate for sustainable practices and solutions through various engaging initiatives.
